Hello! Let me start my first blog post by introducing myself. My name is Maria and I am the founder of Foxy's Stationery. I am a mompreneur trying to balance all things motherhood while attempting to also run my online business. For those of you who are in the same boat as me, please share all the tips and tricks you have. Although this is not a fresh new business, I am currently in the process of re-branding and re-launching my website. Finding the perfect balance has been somewhat of a struggle for me throughout the last few years and I humbly admit that I have not given it the dedication and commitment that is necessary to thrive in today's overwhelmingly competitive online space.
As the years go by, and my children get older, I continue to grow as a mother and my professional goals seem to be getting more attainable. For those of you who are not familiar with my background, I will let you know that I graduated from the university with a Business Administration degree in Marketing. My intention was to enter the corporate field upon graduation and become some kind of brand manager, marketing research analyst, or something related to advertising. Honestly, I loved everything about marketing that I would have been open to just about anything that would get my foot in the door. That all changed when I became pregnant with my first child just as I graduated college. What seemed to be just a break turned into a decision that completely changed my perspective toward life.
With the arrival of my baby girl, I no longer had a desire to enter the corporate world. I now had a new goal, which was to be a full-time mom. I wanted nothing more but to be with my little one every minute of my day. It is then that I made the decision to become a stay-at-home mom. As my family grew, I spent most of my days very busy raising my children and being the mom I greatly wanted to be.
Fast-forward to today, I am still a stay-at home mom to four amazing children and still staying busy. My focus has shifted from becoming a corporate business woman to embracing the magic of being a mompreneur, navigating motherhood and entrepreneurship simultaneously. After all, it took lots of sacrifice, time, and money to obtain my degree. I take pride in that piece of paper that reminds me of the amazing college professors I had, the all-night study sessions before exams, the late night group meet-ups to complete group projects, the preparation for class presentations, and most important, the desire of wanting to learn more and more.
For all the reasons mentioned and because I have experienced first-hand the feeling of overwhelm, I have created Foxy's Stationery to help you with all your stationery needs when celebrating those events that are so important to you. You don't have to do it alone. We are here to help you in the best way that we can.
